Boston DSA General Meeting
September 15 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Come to Boston DSA’s general meetings, where we learn, discuss and develop as community of socialist organizers and make decisions about issues of interest to the entire chapter! Check out our agenda and other meeting info here: https://www.bostondsa.org/gm/
Our general meetings are open to the public, whether you’ve joined DSA yet or not!
Our September meeting will take place at the Boston Teachers’ Union headquarters at 180 Mt Vernon St, Dorchester, MA 02125 (https://goo.gl/maps/k9EniF8SCt62). The venue is about a ten minute walk from the JFK/UMass Red Line station. Parking is free and plentiful.
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. If you need accommodations, please fill out the Accommodation Request Form here: http://bit.ly/bdsaaccess. Please contact any meeting organizer, current Steering Committee member, or email@example.com with any questions or concerns. All speakers will use microphones, and the audience will be asked to snap or use the ASL sign for applause instead of cheering or clapping.
PARTICIPATING VIA PROXY
In accordance with our proxy voting and speaking procedure, members in good standing able to watch the meeting livestream (which will be posted here and on the main Facebook page) are welcome to request a proxy vote for any voting matters and a proxy speaker for any part of the meeting. If you would like to request or nominate a proxy voter or speaker for the discussion, debate, or any question up for a vote at this meeting, please fill out the form at http://bit.ly/bdsaproxy. Anyone using a proxy for the meeting must watch the livestream during the meeting and stay in contact with their proxy. Please submit the request by Friday evening before the GM if possible.
Children are welcome to participate in the meeting, and there will also be a child watch area with crafts and art supplies staffed by BDSA members. Please fill out the Accommodation Request Form (http://bit.ly/bdsaaccess) if you require special accommodations for you or your child.
